CARE

Christians Actively Reaching Everyone

C.A.R.E. is a ministry commissioning Christians to use their gifts to show individuals within our church and community that we care about them and their families. We are to love our neighbor as ourselves. We want to Know Christ, to Grow in Christ, and to Go in Christ to reach His sheep. C.A.R.E. is a ministry carrying out the Great Commission as stated: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19

C.A.R.E. provides opportunities for Christians to share their gifts and love with others in the following ways:

Inreach

The first avenue of C.A.R.E. is ministering and meeting needs within our church. We try to meet those needs by a call, a card or a visit, providing encouragement where it is needed, sending birthday and anniversary cards, and letting individuals know we miss them when they are absent from church.

Outreach

We transport our C.A.R.E. outside the four walls of the sanctuary. We encourage community leaders by sending cards and conducting visits for many different reasons: sick visits, evangelistic visits, etc.

Upreach

Prayer is the vehicle that keeps the C.A.R.E. ministry on the move. Each week C.A.R.E. teams fulfill prayer requests by praying for those in need.

Give

2 Corinthians 9:6-7

“…Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver”

This verse teaches that it is not only what we give, but the acceptable attitude with which we should give: willingly, generously and cheerfully.
